project fifteeen - suede fringed oversized clutch
I am so super happy with this creation, its a fringed suede bag, that I had to interface and, place tissue paper over it when sewing so that the fabric actually moved. I found that the suede also stretched a bit too. I really need to purchase a new sewing machine light too. I only just figured out how to open the compartment. Today my brother and I secretly went to IKEA to buy our parents’ christmas presents. I was in the returned section when I found this gorgeous fabric. Caramel Cake
My results came out ! TENTH IN THE STATE FOR TEXTILES :D I am very happy with this but I was sorta hoping for a higher rank haha. But all is good.
And the cake my mother bought me for it :D it tastes awesome, its caramel flavoured !
I also made a dress the other day, I seem to have lost my usb card reader so that’ll have to wait until next time.
project twelve
I made my dad a pair of shorts, their actually really cool because I made a welt pocket with a button hook thing. I didn’t use a pattern I had to guess-timate his sizes.

I’ve also started working on some braiding, I’m using a knit for this because it makes it so much easier.

TEXSTYLE 2008
Pictures from TEXSTYLE 2008, it was held at the NSW Teachers Federation, Conference Centre. It was awesome we got an award and a book with pictures of our work. As well as the part where a marker came up to me and said that my major work scored 50/50 ! SWEET. I made the lace dress that I’m wearing too I’ll post pictures of that tomorrow. I desperately need a better camera.
